This graphic organizer provides an opportunity for students to show that they can identify the characters, setting and plot of a story. Plot is set up simply as first, then, and last for an introduction to plot.

Use this organizer to classify plants and animals, also includes non-living things. Ideas for use: Show a video and have students record items they see in the video as plant, animal or abiotic -nonliving. Take a nature walk around school and have students record items they see in the appropriate section of the organizer. Let students look through magazines and write or actually cut and paste items into the appropriate section of the organizer.

Supplemental resource or study guide for 4-1.2 to help students explain the political, economic and technological factors that led to the exploration of the New World. Use the filled in copy as either a study guide or teacher's guide. Use the blank copy if you would like students to hand write the information in as it is being read to them or presented in another format.
