This is a resource I created to help my kids write about their graphing and data. We used it to make a math summary of a tally chart, bar graph, line plot, and pictograph. It helped them get started when making a "math" summary.
For this activity, I had my students get into groups of 4. They had to draw and cut out shapes on different colors construction paper. The number of each shape depends on you. The shapes you will use are hearts, circles, triangles, and squares. I had them do each shape on a different color construction paper. For example I called out 3 red hearts, 5 green squares, 7 orange triangles, and 4 blue triangles. After drawing cutting them out, you have your students make a collage of the shapes. Then
