Math Pennant! Math about me! Get to know your students through a pennant activity. Once students complete their pennants they can display them around the classroom. The third document is the 3rd-grade option ("rd" in the grade circle).

The "Math Curse" by Jon Scieszka is a great way to start out the year in math class! Via read-aloud, or by following along on youtube, this book will get your students thinking about math in their lives. This product is an extension activity to pair with the read-aloud. Students would draw their own "math curses" in one of the hexagons making for a wonderful student-generated start-of-the-year bulletin board.

Self-grading resource! Engage students with a mystery picture. As they solve bits of the picture will appear. 20 questions! Topic: Comparing unlike fractions IMPORTANT!! Make sure to delete the "ANSWER KEY" tab before assigning it to students. Students must type "E" in the answer box if the fractions are equal (YES CAPITALIZE!)
