About the store
K&K Studios creates regulation-first tools for learners who struggle with traditional approaches. Our resources are designed to reduce overwhelm, support nervous system safety, and help students engage without shutdown, refusal, or escalation. While our work is deeply informed by Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), our tools are used by educators and families supporting: • autistic learners • ADHD • executive function challenges • anxiety and school resistance • and any student who needs a more flexible, supportive approach We focus on what actually works in real moments — not compliance, not pressure, and not one-size-fits-all systems. Instead, you’ll find: • visual supports that lower demand • tools that support task initiation and follow-through • strategies that prevent escalation before it starts • flexible frameworks that adapt to the learner, not the other way around Every resource is created with a simple goal: Help students feel safe enough to try. Because when regulation comes first, everything else becomes possible. Follow for practical tools that reduce escalation — not fuel it.

Teaching style

I’m a homeschool mom of a neurodivergent, medically complex child, and my teaching style is rooted in flexibility, compassion, and responsiveness. I believe deeply in child-led learning — following a student’s interests, strengths, and natural curiosity to guide what and how we learn. My child’s mix of learning differences has taught me more about teaching than any textbook ever could. I know the importance of meeting learners exactly where they are. I believe in accommodations without hesitation, in honoring processing needs, and in using technology as a tool for access and success — never as a shortcut. My approach blends structure with creativity: • interest-based learning • accessible formats • strength-first teaching • accommodations as a default, not an exception • skills taught gently, consistently, and collaboratively Most of all, I believe every learner deserves to feel capable, supported, and understood — and I design resources that reflect that philosophy.

Awards & shining teacher moments

My Shining Teacher Moments: My proudest teaching moments aren’t awards — they’re the small victories that matter most in our world. The days my child learns something new, feels confident, or makes a connection that once felt out of reach. Some days our win is mastering a concept… and some days it’s simply getting out of pajamas and showing up. Both count. Both matter.

My own education history

I am a graduate of The Art Institute, where I studied graphic and web design. My background in visual communication shapes every resource I create — I’m passionate about clean layouts, accessibility, and designs that reduce overwhelm for both teachers and caregivers. I also believe learning never stops. Whether it’s studying neurodiversity, caregiving needs, or new design methods, I’m always exploring whatever passion or curiosity comes next.

Additional biographical information

I’m a woman with lived experience in both neurodiversity and chronic medical challenges. These perspectives guide the templates and tools I create, ensuring they are rooted in empathy, clarity, and real-world practicality.
