Students will complete sentences about their predictions of themselves when they are 100. My students loved this activity on our 100th day of school. "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” Cause and Effect Writing Activity How to make this product work for you: • Read “If you Give a Mouse a Cookie” aloud and discuss cause and effect together. • After reading, model completing the story sequencing graphic organizer (provided) for the story. • Discuss cause and effect. • Allow students to write their own creative story about an animal and some kind of food (If you give a ______ a ________). • Idea cards are provided if students need help coming up

Great narrative writing activity to when teaching the "ou" sound. Product includes first-next-then-last graphic organizer as well as two sheets of story writing paper with a picture box. For younger writers, only use first page with the picture box. Challenge more experienced writers to continue their story onto the second page.

Students will complete sentences about the number 100. For example...I wish I had 100____. I wouldn't want 100______. If I had 100 dollars I would ________. Students choose which two numbers to be the "parts," then add to find the "whole". Once they complete the boxes, they must then complete the fact family for each. This is designed to be a center activity or game. It can be used with number cubes or number cards. Students can work in pairs or small groups. Directions: Complete the part part whole boxes and fill in the addition and subtraction sentences to go with each.

I created these charts to use with my first graders on my math wall during our daily "calendar time."
