This reading data sheet is based off of research conducted by Down syndrome Education International regarding the instructional methods for students with Down syndrome. I believe this instructional method would benefit many visual learners and students who learn best through whole word reading approaches. Great template to modify spelling tests for students with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities that may experience fine motor coordination delays, processing needs or working memory issues that require modified pacing of in-class assessments.
This is a reading pointer that can be attached to a tongue depressor to help with tracking while reading (especially for students with less dexterity or special needs). Great for small group reading instruction and visually reinforcing to engage students in tracking (especially while following along while other students read aloud in the group).
