A series of 10 handouts with a review of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, place value, and rounding. Answer sheets are included with each handout. My intention of using these packs would be for busy work or for students to challenge themselves after completing the tasks at hand for the day. I would use these as incentives - if they completed a page, I'd give a sticker that they could collect for potential rewards. These also work as good reviews of particular concepts :)
A rubric with questions used for with my grade 9 Math students to show their understanding of operations with rational numbers. I use this as an observation/conversation assessment, whereby the students take me through the steps for solving on the board while orally explaining their thought process. Could be edited for other math problems/grades.
4 bingo cards that have integer problems of adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing on them. I use this as a review tool after teaching a lesson on operations with integers. Laminating them makes it easy to use again and again with white board markers and erasers.
A 10 page exam for MPM 2D (Academic Grade 10 Math), based on the Ontario curriculum. Covers concepts of linear systems (solving by substitution, elimination, and graphing), quadratics (vertex-form, solving problems of quadratics, and factoring), analytical geometry (measuring distances between points, finding midpoints between lines), and trigonometry (finding measures of missing angles/sides, solving problems with triangles). Solutions also included in zip file.
Used as a culminating activity for a data management unit in Grade 4. Students should have learned how to create a survey and also how to draw a bar graph from a set of results.
