Included is general rules and expectations about class, then the back includes specific details pertaining to the yearbook elective. The back page has a box for a signature. Note: The thumbnails show 3 pages, but the file should only be 2. Sometimes things get tweaked with formatting.

A quick little questionnaire to give to students during that first day of school. Easy questions, but truly informative and helpful to get to know your students.

Make copies for everyone in your class. Explain that they have to get signatures from classmates to complete their playing card. No two kids can sign twice (unless you have a super-small class) Explain that the point isn't necessarily to WIN, but to get to know your classmates. You play too! Read, set, mingle! (P.S. The thumbnail looks weird, it's just one page)

About the store

Experience

I've taught 8th grade Language Arts over 15 years now. Within the subject, I've specialized in support classes, intensive classes, core classes and advanced classes. I've also taught the student newspaper elective, public speaking elective, yearbook and multimedia electives.

Teaching style

I like to introduce a topic through direct instruction. I believe that students should talk to one another about their learning and work together. Group work and partner work also show up in my classroom, as well as lots of writing.

My own education history

B.A. Communications. Minor, Women's Studies. M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction.

Additional biographical information

I've been happily married for the last 15 years and have three kids at home!
