If you've ever wanted to teach more about history than what is outlined in the curriculum, this is a great way that I came up with.
Students were to copy down 2 events each day in their portfolio, then were required to research one of the events and write 4 sentences about it to turn in each quarter.
This power point lists 3-7 events that have happened for each day (August 1- May 31) throughout American History.
