Use the book Pete the Cat and his Four Groovy Buttons. Once you've read the book you can use this sheet for students to practice their subtraction from any number you choose. You choose how many buttons students start with and then they can roll a die to see how many buttons they will subtract. I recommend laminating the sheet and using dry erase markers.
Have fun building turkeys while practicing your beginning letter sounds and upper and lowercase matching! Print out each page of the turkey body and matching feathers. Cut out the turkey and feathers. Laminate all pieces. Arrange the feathers for each letter turkey! This can be done in a center, in small groups, or practice as a class!
