We began our month with reading "Space Adventure" by Regina Zaytseva. We looked at all the planets the little boy visited and discussed their names, colors and order. As we followed along the story we pasted matching planets to the poster. Later during the month when we were reviewing shapes we matched shapes with their respective planets. We are finishing up our March theme - Space and I wanted to end it with something fun and exciting for my kids. So I made this telescope that you can use to practice matching, counting, drilling (I see..., there is/are...), learn about 10 biggest constellations and other fun things. We are still learning new things about space and this weeks topic was astronauts. We read the "Space Adventure" picture book and talked about how we need special clothes if we want to go to space. We talked about different parts of a spacesuit. I was a fun week and in the end we played with this puzzle. For younger kids I asked them to help dress little astronauts so that they can go to space.
