This project correlates with my unit on forces and motion in my physical science middle school class. Over a span of three days, students design a car that will protect a raw egg from breaking when it hits the ground after being on a ramp. The students will then test and modify their design. This activity could serve as a great introduction to the life cycle of a cell, and it gets students acting out each phase from interphase, mitosis (prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase), and cytokinesis. Students will not realize that they are learning! You need a class size of at least twelve students to play this game.
