This addition math facts activity is designed to give students hands-on practice as they learn about math facts 1-10. This download is simple to put together and can be easily stored in a zippered pencil pouch or gallon baggie for easy access. This activity will be perfectly suited for an independent math station or other small group work once you have given a quick lesson on how to use it.

Experience
I am currently teaching 1st grade and have over 20 years experience working in Pre-K and elementary school settings. Twelve of those were with kindergarteners. I have also worked with home bound students and spent time tutoring foreign exchange students during the summer.
Teaching style
I enjoy working with thematic units and feel students benefit greatly when a teacher ties subjects and standards into a theme. Some of my favorites are Eric Carle, American symbols, and holidays. I feel thematic units make learning much more interesting and in some cases, reach students who may be struggling in a specific area.
