Quick-work activity focusing on occupations. Designed to help students expand their knowledge about community helpers and discuss what tools the workers use in their job settings. Useful in short language therapy sessions or as a homework practice pages.
I laminated the sheets and cut up the last one and used velcro to match the where (where the person works) next to the who.

I have my students buy their own snack that they bring in from
home. This takes away any concerns about allergies and having food in your classroom. I printed out the task analysis on card stock paper and laminated it, so I would have a copy for any and all students who need a visual prompt.
My students have class jobs so they earn money every week for
Completing their jobs…each job has a specific “salary” that they earn and this is the money they use to buy their snack.

I made this book for a little boy in my 8:1:1 class that doesn't really read but absolutely loves transportation and any kind of trucks.
It's made in the format of Brown Bear, Brown Bear...What do you see?
Read the story to help the Gingerbread man locate his candy canes. Then you can use the sentence strip to help your students put together a sentence to answer where the candy canes are located. Ex. Candy Canes at the door.

Print out on card stock and laminate. I put Velcro on the pieces and
then position them all on the tree. I will then pull off a picture and
put it on the white box and have my students read me the

This activity can also be printed out and given to your students as a worksheet and they can all cut, glue and paste as you work on the prepositions. ex. "put the bird on top of the birdhouse."
Transportation Helps Us! book includes a worksheet with the same sentences and pictures to allow your students to work independent.
I also included an answer sheet. I would print this out on card stock paper and laminate and bind as a book and the answer key can be put in the back of the book.
*When I put the book together I mixed up the order of the pages so they don't do in the same order as the worksheet.
Enjoy!

My class really enjoyed making these!
There are two different ways in which to set up and play Next Dollar up Bingo. Print out bingo cards (enough for all your students) and print out calling cards for all the amounts you will need.
First:
Have your students write any dollar amounts in the boxes (ex. $5.76) and then on the “calling cards” you would write the whole dollar amount (ex. $6.00).
Second---Opposite of choice one.
On the bingo cards you could write out the next dollar up amount (ex. $6.00) and then on the “calling cards”

This is a "scripted" activity to help kids with little to no language.

fire.)
My students love “building” their favorite summer time
activity, whether it’s the beach, the pool, par
This is pages...2 pages (that cover 25 days of work) to allow your students to sign into their work and sign out.
They then have to total their hours worked, they sign it then their "supervisor" signs it when it's checked.
It's a great way for students to keep track of their work experience in class and to get used to "punching" in and out of work.
Students can hold onto their own sign in sheets in a folder or you can put them into one binder and let them line up to "punch" in and out.
