Experience

I am currently attending a Master of Occupational Therapy program and I will be graduating in 2025. Previously, I worked for a year and a half in an early childhood special education (EC/SE) classroom. In addition, I have numerous volunteer and short-term employment experiences working with children with disabilities.

Teaching style

Before I left my position to pursue occupational therapy, my school used PBIS as an outline for our classroom setup, behavior supports, and interactions with our students.

My own education history

I have a bachelor's in Kinesiology with an emphasis on pre-occupational therapy. I am currently working towards my master's degree in occupational therapy and I will graduate in May of 2025!

Additional biographical information

My career goal is to work as an occupational therapist working with autistic individuals across the lifespan. Much of my work is informed by my own personal experience. My sister was diagnosed with autism when she was 8 years old. Over the last few years I have been diagnosed with ADHD and autism myself. I'm excited to provide neurodiversity-affirming occupational therapy services to my clients someday!
