I'm Lauren :) I've taught 3rd-5th grade for 12 years now! I teach ELL students in Illinois. I have loved this new journey to create my own items. It has given me freedom to design things the way I feel best helps my students.
Here are 20 task cards that review properties of addition and multiplication. The cards will review commutative, associative, identity, and distributive properties. I tried to incorporate 4 types of questions that get harder as the number of card increases.
A recording sheet is included as well as an answer key.
This set of task cards has QR codes that the students can scan to check their answers. I find this very helpful to self correct and stay independent. You can download a QR reader app
Posters to help students count multiples of numbers 0-12. I like to use these after teaching the concept of multiplication. We sing songs and youtube videos to help learn how to skip count.
If you want a certain background, let me know! I would be happy to create a set for you with a color theme that works for you!

A fun, festive way to review operations before the Holiday Break. Each student solves a problem on a light bulb printout and you can staple them to ribbon or yarn to create a "String of Math Lights". Print out on colored paper, or ask students to shade over their bulb to make it look like a real string of bulbs.
This download includes 12 cards for each operation: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. I included decimals because I would like my 5th graders to focus on those, but f

An activity students enjoy where M&Ms become a part of the lesson and push kids to finish so they can eat them :)
Students get a baggie with candies, and tell the class about themselves using different colors to represent different facts.
Then they move on to making graphs using their M&Ms.
Finally, they use their listening, speaking, and oral presentation skills to introduce us to a classmate after reading their table of facts.
Hope you enjoy!

I have used this weekly math warmup for 2 years now (Tile Tuesday) and I really enjoy how quick it is. I pass out foam tile squares with the digits 0-9 written on them, but you can easily put the first blank page in a wipe off pocket and use a dry erase marker. There is also the option to give students a copy of the page and they can cut and glue (or simply write) onto the page. I like to read it aloud without students having access to the “number clue” so that it helps my students with their l
