This activity is used to help students explore the different impacts of human activities on Earth's environments. Students select an environmental issue from a list and then research it using online resources to fill out an organizer. When all organizers have been filled, the teacher may choose to do an gallery walk or display the student's work for the entire class to learn from.
This activity is designed to introduce middle school students to the different types of genetic technology being used today. Students perform group research to design a poster on one of three genetic technologies. Students perform a gallery walk of completed posters to summarize their learning.
