Photosynthesis and Respiration PowerPoint
Used as a mini lecture following a modeling lab. I try to get my students to take their own notes instead of printing everything out for them. The parts of this presentation that are bolded are indicators that my students should copy down the important material. This is a very basic understanding of the processes of photosynthesis and respiration as I wanted the students to make their own judgements/find their own conclusions on the differences and similarities of the two.

I am a New Jersey Science teacher in a Title 1 District. I teach a very diverse group of students every year and I love every moment of it.
Teaching style
From the first day of school I set up my procedures and rules. I am in a Title I District and for a lot of my students, English is not their first language. I find that trust and respect are hard to come by, but once you've built a strong relationship with the students, the walls come down. I try to make my room a safe environment (like most teachers), but I also show the students it's okay to have fun. We joke around, they teach me the current dance crazes (as rewards), I learn their native language and we have a level of respect for each other. I am not their friend, but they know that can come to me with anything.
My own education history
I graduated from Brookdale Community College, transferred to and from Georgian Court University, and Graduated with my B.A. from Kean University.
