I used this at literacy night. When students won, they got to choose a book and bring it home! The kids used cubes or tokens to put on the board. Have fun!!
Included is a play for the story The Three Little Pigs. There are 4 characters, visual for words, and simple sentences for struggling readers. Also included are images of the characters (3 pigs and the wolf). I had students color them and glue them on popsicle sticks. They held them while they were performing. I also sent the packet home with the kids so they could make it at home.

Students choose things they need and want. Then they get to pretend they are on a boat that gets shipwrecked. They can only bring 7 things from the list or needs and wants in order to survive. The students make a flag to put on their "island" so that a plane or ship may find them! You read different scenarios about what happens on the island. The students find out if they can survive. If they do, they get a certificate! It is very fun and informative. The kids will love it!
Students make a biography portfolio. There are options of including timelines, photographs, text boxes, key information, and a paper. It can be used for any person your students would like to use! There are also 2 examples included.
Students decide a personal goal to work on in their writing. 1- You can print this out as a poster and have students write on post-its or with dry erase markers what their goal is. 2- You can have a personal page for each student that they can look at and choose their goal for the day, week, or month.
