Here is a great game to play in class or at an event like Literacy Night.
Included: 7 different bingo boards and the cards to pull with the title and picture of each book.
I used this at literacy night. When students won, they got to choose a book and bring it home! The kids used cubes or tokens to put on the board. Have fun!!
Included is a play for the story The Three Little Pigs. There are 4 characters, visual for words, and simple sentences for struggling readers. Also included are images of the characters (3 pigs and the wolf). I had students color them and glue them on popsicle sticks. They held them while they were performing. I also sent the packet home with the kids so they could make it at home.
Students will learn about fossils through a power point, video, and fossil activity. Look at the free fossil activity for students to complete with the power point.
Students choose things they need and want. Then they get to pretend they are on a boat that gets shipwrecked. They can only bring 7 things from the list or needs and wants in order to survive. The students make a flag to put on their "island" so that a plane or ship may find them! You read different scenarios about what happens on the island. The students find out if they can survive. If they do, they get a certificate! It is very fun and informative. The kids will love it!
Students can organize their writing and think about characters, setting, and plot. When students are complete, they will be able to make their own story book! The layout for the story book is included. I hope you enjoy!
Blank formatted newsletters. It includes areas for you to write about the week, the date, the "I can" standards, important dates, and contact information.
The story of the Princess and the Blueberry can be compared/contrasted with the Princess and the Pea or a similar version of the story. This version tells of a princess stuck in a snowstorm. The queen puts a blueberry under the mattresses. Instead of the princess feeling the "pea" she can't sleep because of the smell of blueberries. It is a silly version to a classic.
Students choose which guided activities they would like to do. They can do three in a row to complete their work. You can also change the rules as you wish.
