This is mostly only for high schools. It is a way to show students that canvases can be very complex. I will go over the various cultures and history of tattoos. I also go over the effects of poor tattoos and cultural responses. This is something that I give to students that are generally harder to connect to or that are already set on going into tattooing. It is a great resource to encourage students to plan ahead and think about the body as a canvas.

These are great to have on hand for the moments you need some breathing room. I love having students work on these for the first couple of days of class in the year when students are transferring in and out of my classes. It is a fun challenge for students and it helps them with their observational skills. This is a 4 page packet students can complete online and fill out the PDF form on their computer or print out and complete. I have to create several of these for my art students since the school has closed down over the Coronavirus. This packet covers China and Japan. It should take about 2 hours to complete.
