This packet has information for parents of students entering second grade. The students are required to read 3 Frog and Toad books. There are summaries of the books required to read. There is also a grade-level appropriate book list with suggestions of books students entering second grade would be able to read. This is what our school used as summer reading homework.
This game is designed for 26 participants. Print the pages and cut into strips so each student receives at least one strip of paper with a direction on it. The teacher always starts the first one. The students need to be able to read their strip of paper to know when to act out their given activity. No one should talk (except if the direction strip says to) because the students have to be listening and watching so they know when their task is next in the sequence. It is fun to do this game
