Beginning of the Year Classroom Scavenger Hunt
I teach high school and run a very student-lead classroom. However, to get everyone accustomed to the routine they have to discover all the procedures and resources available to them! This is so great for them to learn the ins and outs of the classroom without having to "lecture" them.

I used this as a formative assessment before the students took the summative test (available in my store). They checked their answers when they finished using the ipads. I had the answer keys in notes on each ipad.

White Board Wisdom Cards
These cards are all sized to be the size of an index card. This allows easy storage in a notecard folder. I choose a prompt and write it on the white board. The students answer it as they come in before being seated. They love these because it gives them a chance to actually think FREELY without being graded on it.

La Llorona Test from the animated movie
We took two days to watch the animated movie in class during our preterite v. imperfect lesson. My students were given a movie guide that I purchased from TPT in addition to a list of characters to keep track of. I used this summative assessment to assess their comprehension on the two tenses and the plot of the story. They had a lot of fun watching the movie and were quite interested!

Beat The Teacher Bundle
This is THE BEST classroom management strategy I have found. There is not punishment, no negative reinforcement...just complete fairness. When the students earn a point, it is because they truly earned it. They don't lose points if they have a bad day. However, we, the teacher, will earn a point or three that day ;)

I created this organizer so my students can see all the different formations the command tense requires on one paper. I have them write out the steps to get from infinitive form to the conjugation I have typed in the bottom of each circle.

Spanish I Midterm
This grammar based midterm truly assesses the students' ability to read, write, and interpret the Spanish Language. I created a small grammar guide (cheat sheet) that I allowed my students to use during the midterm that merely helps them on all the small details. You may purchase that from my store as well! Preterite AR,ER,IR & Los Gemelos Ser y Ir
This summative assessment measures the students' comprehension of the preterit tense. With the preterit tense, comes a lot of irregulars so it is vital to assess their understanding in chunks. This exam also has an oral section for the students. I made up 5 sentences using the preterit and the students had to write what they heard and translate. This helped me see if they understood the equivalence of preterit in the TL and their NL.

Ser vs. Estar Bundle
This bundle covers the DOCTOR & PLACE acronyms along with examples, practice quizzes, two tests with student evals at the end, ser vs. estar with DDLM details from a short film, and ser/estar group labels for class activity.
I teach ser and estar "triggers." "De" triggers ser and "en" triggers estar. I give them the saying, "there is a star (estar) en the sky," to help them remember.
For the ser/estar labels, I gave each student a sticky note with a word that had to be categorized as ser-D-O

Rules of Stress in the Spanish Language
This bundle includes the three rules of stress in Spanish hand out, stress practice activity with answer key, and a summative assessment. For the practice activity, the students worked with a partner and had to clap out the syllables. Once they finished, they had to get an iPad and check their answers. I airdropped the answer key to the notes on the iPad. This was great because they literally had immediate feedback.

Spanish Verb Test with Conjugations
This is a staple test that I pull out multiple times a year to ensure they are keeping up with the verb meanings. I also use this test as a diagnostic in the beginning of the school year to see where my students stand. It could also be used as a pre-test, a game to time the students and reward them with bonus on the test or ANYTHING! Truly useful!
