Experience

I am a high school Spanish language teacher based out of New Jersey, USA. I have been teaching for 6 years in the communicative style, and each year I have been creating more and more materials to facilitate comfortable communication for my students- so I've finally decided to add my materials to TPT.

Teaching style

My teaching is built around the communicative approach: language learning focused on students' use of the language, not just memorization of vocab and grammar. All of the materials you find here fall into one (or more) of the modes of communication- Interpersonal conversation, Interpretive reading and listening, or Presentational speaking or writing- and were developed to help students practice their language skills in a realistic linguistic context. I try as often as possible to create student-centered learning opportunities where students are working to decode the target language in focused tasks, and where I as the teacher am not the center of attention.

My own education history

I graduated Marist College in 2016 with a degree in Spanish Adolescent Education, and am currently enrolled in Middlebury College' School of Spanish Graduate School.
