Experience

I have been an elementary school teacher for 22 years. I work with a diverse group of students and have had the privilege of teaching kindergarten, first grade, third grade, and fourth grade.

Teaching style

I love to do hands-on activities with my students. I enjoy integrating games, kinesthetic activities, and technology whenever I can. I am very interested in open-ended, inquiry-based instruction in science and math.

My own education history

I earned my Bachelor's degree with a double major in Biology and History from Claremont McKenna College. Following this, I attended San Diego State University and earned a Masters degree in Reading and Language Arts along with a Reading Specialist credential.
