I take my students to the playground and have them identify: parallel and perpendicular lines; obtuse, acute, and straight angles; and obtuse, acute, and right triangles. Students will find the shapes around on the playground equipment, draw them, label them, and then name them. One sample has been done for the students - a right angle which was identified on the monkey bars. We all love getting outside to do this learning activity!
