This is a simple journalism brainstorming template I created for my media classes to make it easier to come up with ideas for videos/articles. This is a great way for students to start the brainstorming process independently before coming together or a class. There are 21 short prompts. The template is provided as a word document and with a link to the fully editable Google Doc. The template works great in Google Classroom!

Experience
I have been teaching high school for nearly 10 years. Before I became a full time teacher I was a substitute teacher for all grade levels and many different districts. I feel like this experience broadened my skills to create lessons for all types of learners. My wife also is an elementary school teacher.
Teaching style
I love teaching with technology. I use a flipped classroom style. I love that students can access lessons from anywhere. I try to incorporate many cross curricular activities in my lessons. I love lessons that have visual and auditory examples that let students learn at the pace they feel comfortable.

I was Schooltube's teacher of the month. I have received various honors from the school board at the district where I teach.
My own education history
I have a business degree from Kent State University and two master's degrees from The University of Akron in education.
