My students love fact family houses! These cute houses really help them understand how addition and subtraction are inverse operations. This activity is done after we have introduced fact triangles, so they understand that the roof is the triangle that contains the three numbers. We learn that families live together, and they don't let strangers into their houses. When students correctly complete the houses, they color them and we display a fact family neighborhood in the hallway. The file incl
