This worksheet is a drill training students to distinguish between when to use the present simple and the present continuous tenses. It is for students who can function at around a CEF Level A2. This would function well as homework or even a quiz. It might even serve as a review for B1 students, although the sentences are quite simplistic. It is recommended that this is set either as homework or as individual work and not to be done as a class, as it is a drill and offers good practice.

This activity is an excerpted article from the New York Times that discusses why some people tend to enjoy fear.
