I currently teach 5th and 6th grade Spanish enrichment. In addition, I meet with a 7th grade student advisory group twice a month where students participate in character education activities. By using cognates and the Spanish dictionary, students will work together in groups to try to figure out which songs are named. You can give prizes to the group or groups who are the first to accurately complete this task. This is a jigsaw puzzle with Spanish Valentine's Day phrases. Students will practice matching forms of querer, necesitar, and gustar with infinitives, and learn Spanish vocabulary for Valentine's Day. Teachers can cut the puzzle ahead of time, or students can cut and put together (it would be nice to print on oak tag).

This is a poem I wrote to help my students learn the Spanish months of the year. Included in the poem is all twelve months with some weather vocabulary and other nouns and adjectives. There are also comprehension questions. Students must then illustrate the frame around the poem based on the descriptions of the months that have been given.
