Living in Math Project is a way for students to see that math continues with them throughout their lives. Everyone uses math, not only in their professions, but also in their daily home lives. Students will conduct 3 interviews (1 by email, 1 with a school staff member, 1 with a community member) to see how they use math. Do you struggle letting parents know how your child is really doing in class? Grades do not paint a clear picture of how a child is actually performing, whether it be high or low level. Keeping parents updated, using specific assessments is important. The file will give you 4 quarterly progress reports to help inform parents of their child's reading and math levels according to Map, Dominie, or another reading leveling system.

Gobble, Gobble! Thanksgiving has come and gone and now your students can create graphs to show different data from the holiday. Inside the printable are three graphs to use after Thanksgiving. This is a one page All About Me math project. You can use this as a whole class project, as an assessment, or with particular students you think could handle it as an additional math project outside of the classroom setting. The questions pertain to each individual student, so each child will use different numbers for their project. The All About Me math project goes along with Common Core standards, tying a variety of skills together that the children should be learning.

Do you need a quick and easy writing template for your children? If so, this is for you. Attached are two different versions for your students to choose from. You can discuss resolutions and why they think this year will be the best year ever. Then, students can decide which they would like to write about. Add any craft to the writing that you would like to spice it up.
