Can you find the snowman hiding behind the tree? A number recognition game that can be played with individual students, in small groups or whole class. Hide one of the snowmen behind a tree (there are two snowmen so the students can see what they are looking for). Students call out a number and the teacher moves the tree to see if the snowman is hiding behind that tree. Play continues until the snowman is found. Numbers on the trees can be edited. A great activity for distance learning!
You will need the free Google Chrome dice thrower extension to play this game or real dice and a document camera. This is a great game to work on counting and number sense. It can be played with individual students, in small groups or whole group. The teacher has one set of ten frames and the students play as a team using the other set of ten frames. Take turns rolling the dice until one player/team has filled in their ten frame(s). As you fill in the ten frames, you should alternate the color
Two different google slide activities using balance scales. In one activity, students place pictures on the correct end of the balance scale by dragging and dropping the pictures. In the second activity students can draw or insert their own pictures on the balance scale to show heavier and lighter.
This Google Slides activity goes with the song or book, Five Little Ducks. Students identify the number on each slide, then drag and drop the correct number of ducks into the pond.
