Summarizing and Summary (Synthesizing by Reading 2 Texts fiction/nonfiction)
Summarizing and Synthesis ~ Students will read two selections per topic. They will use a graphic organizer to organize their thoughts before, during, and after reading about a given topic. Then they will write a short summary about the topic(s) they read about by synthesizing the information (text) they read. Students will also be challenged to answer 5 comprehension questions per topic.
