I used this ppt during my fall/Halloween theme. I first asked the students how we could describe a large orange pumpkin that I brought into class. We then used the ppt to facilitate a discussion on adjectives that we could use to describe a pumpkin. Slides include a list of adjectives, examples of pumpkins (silly, green , orange, etc.). Then I gave each student a small pumpkin. I asked them how they would describe them. This was a fun, hands on learning experience for the students. See Pumpkin

This lesson plan accompanies my Pumpkins! LP PPT. It includes a detailed breakdown of the lessons and activities that I included during this Fall/Halloween theme. There are activities for reading, math, science, and writing. My students had such a fun time with this hands-on learning experience.
