Helpful handout to explain the complexity approach to parents (and ourselves!) I use this when I need a refresher to guide which sounds I should be targeting for my clients with phonological sound errors. I like the waterfall analogy because it's one of the few things in nature where we start at the top to create change towards the bottom!

Looking for an easy way to show parents the importance of prelinguistic skills? I created this apple tree to explain the foundational skills for language development in 0-3 year olds. Discussing this with parents has helped them celebrate the little wins. It's not always about the apples! We celebrate the roots too!
