Experience

I have worked as student teacher in public schools in a Texas barrio, a second grade teacher at a renowned international school in Germany, an assistant teacher at a Christian school in NYC, a childcare volunteer in a homeless shelter, a summer school teacher for Korean-American students, and a private tutor for elementary students who are struggling.

Teaching style

My diverse set of students have all had one thing in common: They love to laugh! I consider it my job to help students understand that learning is fun.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Several of my students have told me that I'm "the best teacher ever". That's my most prized "award". :-)

My own education history

I have a master's degree in Cognitive Studies in Education from Columbia University. My area of concentration is Creativity and Cognition. I earned my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood-4th Grade Education from Baylor University. (Sic 'em Bears!)
