Response to Literature Assessment (RLA) is designed to assess or guide student’s reading and writing comprehension of a short story. The file includes a sample short story but teacher/grade level curriculum short story can be used, rubric, graphic and graphic organizer.

Explicit teaching instruction is utilized to help students acquire information and skills I teach explicitly the standard after a pre-assessment task. Then spend 3-5 days on the standard with explicit lesson. Finally, I administer a post-assessment math task to conclude with the standard.
