About the store
I have taught 16 years at the middle school level, 11 of these with 8th graders. This year will be my seventh at the elementary level. After one year teaching Gifted, I-STEM, and SPED in an elementary school, I switched back to working with SPED students full time. This year I'm also partnering with another teacher for a Mini Economy® after-school group.

Experience

I have taught 16 years at the middle school level, 11 of these with 8th graders. This year will be my seventh at the elementary level. Undergraduate degree in Psychology (B.S.) and masters degree in education (M. Ed. Curriculum and Instruction, Middle School) from Eastern Mennonite University. Coursework for Gifted endorsement completed at UVA. Central Virginia Writing project (Summer 2000, UVA). Digital Story Telling Institute (Spring 2004, UVA). Mini-Economy Workshop/endorsement requirement (Summer 2015, JMU).

Additional biographical information

In my spare time, I enjoy crocheting, especially with plarn (yarn made from plastic bags).
