Over the course of my career, I have taught 9th-12th grade English, News Journalism, Round Table, and Leadership with students of all backgrounds. Currently, my specialty areas are English II (10th grade) and News Journalism.

Need an easy new year activity? Grab this and stay on top of trends. TikTok is currently flooded with "ins and outs" for the year, so students will likely be familiar with the concept. I am making one alongside my students. I plan to print them and have students put them in notebooks, but these would also make a great bulletin board display. Teaching style

I have a real passion for empowering students and establishing reflective practice; as an English teacher, I get swept up in the excitement of literature and critical thinking, and I try to encourage my students to do the same. I especially love incorporating discussion as I believe collaborative speaking and listening opportunities are the cornerstone of critical thought in the classroom. I am a very animated teacher, but I also know that my students need structure and appreciate clean design.

My own education history

I attended a four-year college where I majored in English and obtained a secondary teaching license. Since then, I have participated in various professional development opportunities.
