All teachers and therapists are required to be informed of a student's testing accommodations and program modifications. This sign-off sheet is to be filled out at the beginning of the school year as well as after an annual review. It is important to track how much support a student requires from the paraprofessional that is assigned to work with them. The ultimate goal is to reduce paraprofessional support by fostering increased independence. It is important for a special education teacher to include the parents when writing a new IEP. Notify the parents of an upcoming CSE meeting and request some information to be included on the updated IEP. *Includes reminder notice to be sent home the day before.* Save the notes from the parents in your student file for reference.
