This fun and engaging 2D and 3D shape game includes 25 Bingo cards, so it can be played in a center or whole class. The objects on the cards are real life objects that are shaped like the following shapes: circle, square, triangle, rectangle, hexagon, rhombus, cube, sphere, cone, and cylinder. The calling cards are shapes or attributes of shapes. For example, you can tell kids to cover a shape that has 4 corners, or a shape that has 6 faces. You can also just call “sphere” or “rectangle”.

These mats are very helpful when your kiddos sort out their 100th-day trail mix snack. Each mat has a slight variation of items for their trail mix, so you can use the one with the items you will use. With Measuring Royalty, your kiddos will measure a prince, a princess, a knight, a carriage, a balcony, two different crowns, a mirror, and a pillow holding a glass slipper using unifix cubes, or any other measuring tool. (If you use unifix cubes the measurements are whole #s. There are no fractions.) They will record the measurements and then compare and contrast them. Each page has a word problem that asks students to decompose numbers 4 through 10 by drawing 3 different combinations of dots on lady bug wings, that make the numbers 4 through 10. It also asks students to write the number sentence (equation) that matches what they have drawn on the lady bug's wings. The lady bug theme makes this a great activity to do with your insect unit, or anytime in the Spring.
