This is a great way to teach your students how to understand one-step word problems. This sheet can serve as a resource for your students as they pull out the key information for the word problems and determine how to solve the problem based on the action or the relationship between the key numbers & units within the problem.
This is a great tool to use in tangent with a color system within your room to support classroom management & awareness. I have used a color pocket chart, as well as a clip chart & both would work for this tracker. A quick & easy introductory assessment on the solar systems (specifically, Earth & how it moves; revolution & rotation, as well as the amount of time each movement takes). This could be given as a pre-assessment or post-assessment.
This is a great positive behavior system that can be implemented whole group. Each of your students should be given a sticker chart & will earn stickers/stamps throughout the day. After they fill up 5 boxes, provide them with a small token (i.e., a special sticker, coloring sheet, treasure box, 5 minutes of free-choice).
