Area and Perimeter Capture
Area and Perimeter Capture is a fun and engaging game for students. This will interest your students, while helping to reinforce both the connection and difference between area and perimeter. To implement this the best, fishbowl the activity before having students pair up. The directions are simple, however, students can easily get confused with the idea of connecting all of their rectangles. Now, happy playing!!

I am a believer that student learn best from one another. There is open discussion, question time, and lots of peer talking and sharing of ideas and strategies in my classroom. I know education must be interactive and engaging in order to solidify learning and retention of skills and concepts.

I attended Middle Tennessee State University where I earned my Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master's in Reading.
