This sheet has been used with great success in the middle school. It would make great review for struggling high school students.

2nd Grade Math Common Core 2.G.2 SMART
This SMART Notebook lesson teaches students about partitioning a rectangle into rows and columns of same-size squares and count to find the total number of them. This is from the 2nd Grade Standard 2 of the Common Core. This is used to work with 2nd graders on area. Let your students interact with this lesson and create the project at the end of the lesson to make the concept something they will not only understand but be able to apply and create.
