About the store
My teaching experience spans public and charter schools, all income levels, and grades K-12. I have been working in the education field in some capacity for 25 years. One of my favorite tasks has been to rebuild the Spanish program for an at-risk school and create a program for Spanish 3 and Spanish 4 in that school. I also have extensive experience in creating educational portfolios and materials for planning and measuring student development.

About the store

Experience

My teaching experience spans public and charter schools, all income levels, and grades K-12. I have been working in the education field in some capacity for 25 years. One of my favorite tasks has been to rebuild the Spanish program for an at-risk school and create a program for Spanish 3 and Spanish 4 in that school. I also have extensive experience in creating educational portfolios and materials for planning and measuring student development.

Teaching style

My teaching style is very interactive and incorporates technology on a regular basis. I like to expose my students to cultures and languages that are different from their own. I build a positive classroom environment which boosts enthusiasm for learning and keeps the students using the skills they are learning.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Lead staff in professional development for creating portfolios showcasing data driven instruction. Lead staff in creating documents that measure student performance and target areas of weakness. The most meaningful honor was being chosen by the students as Teacher of the Month.

My own education history

Attended Oakland Community College, Oakland University, and the University of Michigan-Flint. Completed a study abroad program in Costa Rica at the Costa Rican Language Academy.
