About the store
I've been grateful for a vast and diverse range of teaching experience over fifteen years. I've taught high school in both inner-city Chicago and rural Minnesota; I've taught middle school Humanities (literature and history!) and Language Arts. I currently teach high school English for a small, rural high school in central Illinois.
I've taught gifted students, reluctant readers, English language learners, and students with special needs, and embraced all their passions as well as their learning needs.

Mystery Genre Scavenger Hunt
The Mystery Genre Scavenger Hunt encourages students to sleuth about the classroom--or even about the school!--to search for answers to a variety of questions about the mystery genre, from Agatha Christie to Scooby Doo! Teaching style
If the kids are bored, I am too! My lessons are active and varied, but also thought-provoking, aiming to make student learning memorable, authentic, and challenging.
