Grammar Gems is the perfect tool to use if you need short reinforcement activities to help strengthen your student's ability to use correct grammar in their writing! This product is a hit with students during the first few days of a new school year and is a super way for the teacher to start to get to know their students. The product is a booklet and comic strip that is all about the student. Each page contains a star that the student fills in based on their favorite foods, animals, people, etc. Students then draw what they like. This product is a great way for students to start seeing the connection between the English language and all the languages that contributed to it, especially when you are teaching Greek roots. This product consists of a nonfiction article with 11 multiple choice questions and an answer key. I like to use this text and questions as a way to practice understanding what a multiple choice question asks a reader to do.
