This unit is designed to introduce kindergartners to animals that live in or near ponds. They will learn about frogs, ducks, and turtles by having you read to them, through exploring a pond, listening to frog sounds, and watching a video. This unit is designed to last one week.

Explore four national monuments and historic landmarks in this unit: the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the White House, and Mount Rushmore. Hands-on activities include making an obelisk, designing a building, making a White House model, creating a miniature Mount Rushmore and carving a soap sculpture. A map and coloring sheets are provided to reinforce the concepts. This unit is designed to last one week, depending on how often you teach history.
