Lessons I've Learned

Students will be assigned a city from a region in the Middle East, Southern and Eastern Asia, or Africa (7th Grade Georgia Social Studies) and will compile information to create a poster to present the data analysis of their city. To be used during Southern and Eastern Asia Unit of study, this activity has 10 quotes from the Dalai Lama and Gandhi for students to apply to a situation at school, relate to a novel, and personal experiences. Used during Southern and Eastern Asia religion study. Could be used for a group or individual reflection experience.

Six "short answer" and "constructed response" questions. Students will use measures of central tendency (mean, median, and mode) and measures of variation (box and whisker plots) to analyze data. Students must include a written explanation of their data analysis.
