If You Give a Mouse a Cookie: Cause and Effect Activity
Use the book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff to teach and practice cause and effect and "If...then" statements with your students. They will love the book and being able to relate the skill to their own lives through this hands-on activity.

Fractions Song
My colleague and I wrote this song to the tune of the Oscar Meyer Wiener Song to help students remember the process of adding and subtracting fractions! I included a recording of me singing each song so you can know how to present it to your students. Enjoy!

The Impact Project
This project was used as a science project but could easily be adjusted to be used as a social studies project. The standard included on the rubric is a TN State Science Standard but that can also be changed. This was a very thought-provoking and interesting project for my students to do and we enjoyed seeing everyone's presentations. I assigned events such as Hurricane Katrina, The Invention of the Automobile, Tornadoes, etc. Any event, natural or manmade, that has effected the earth in some wa
